Michael Antunes II is one of my premier Philipino stick fighting students, he has been involved with the Philipino Martial Arts for several years, studying the arts of Modern Arnis, Arnis Lanada, Arnis De Abanico, Escrima, and Kali. Michael has placed in regional competitions with empty hand and weapon forms and in self defense divisions using that above mentioned arts. Michael is a 3rd generation Martial Artist, with his grandfather, Peter, as well as his father, Michael, who you may know as the saxophone player for "John Cafferty's Beaver Brown Band" who was featured in "Eddie and the Cruisers 1 & 2." The Antunes Martial Arts tradition continues through his two sons, Michael Antunes III and Sean Antunes. Michael has also studied Tai Chi Chuan and is certified under me in the 24 movement Wu's form and the Yang's 108 movement form. He also holds rank in Kobujutsu and Ed Parker's American Kenpo Karate. He is a firearms instructor/corrections officer for the Massachusetts Department of Corrections.
